CHANDLER – Cyber Monday bundles will make their method to doorsteps, which suggests more opportunities for patio thieves.
“I’m continuously tracking my packages to see where it’s at when it’s going to be delivered and if I can get to your home that’s even better,” said Sara Kiahosseini, a Chandler citizen who frets about her bundles getting stolen.But burglars
have to watch out, that bundle might be a bait box, a bundle consisting of a tracker planted by authorities.
“A normal individual would not even understand, if I had actually opened a plan with a tracking system in it, you cannot see it, it’s so little,” said Officer Robin Atwood with Chandler Cops Department’s Criminal offense Avoidance Unit.
As soon as the bait box is on the move, Atwood states the tracker comes out of sleep mode, triggering alarms in the dispatch space to alert dispatchers and officers in the location.

Cops say the finest deterrent are neighbors like Kiahosseini who take precautions and view out for next-door neighbors.
“I’ve gone to call doorbells at my next-door neighbors at night when I see plans at the front door and say ‘hey you got a plan out here, you need to choose it up,” stated Kiahosseini.Other ways you can assist cops: Know when your bundles will be provided. Don’t let

- place or a next-door neighbor’s house if they’re at home. Stay Alert. If you see a patio theft, try and get an image of the suspect or automobile
